Drugstore Beauty Products You Need

I love makeup but I also hate spending money on makeup that just does not work. If you buy most of your makeup at the drugstore you will know the disappointing feeling when you buy something and excitedly try it on only to find out it is a total miss. There are some drugstore beauty products you need and then there are some that you can just leave on the shelf.

I have tried so many drugstore beauty products and while I have started to slow down on buying new products I will continue to repurchase the following items as they are must-haves for me. Keep reading to see my list of drugstore beauty products you need.

You can also check out my favorite products for wavy hair that can all be bought at the drugstore too. Perfect for when you are on a budget.

Drugstore Beauty Products You Need Right Now

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, All-In-One Waterproof Makeup Remover + Face Cleanser

This Micellar Cleansing Water is gentle on the skin, yet can remove even the toughest of waterproof makeup. I love this stuff as I use waterproof mascara which can be very difficult to remove at times. I used this when I had lash extensions as well as it has no oil, no alcohol, and no fragrance. Usually, I use this as a second cleanser. I’ll wash my face with a facial cleanser first and then go over with the Micellar Water to remove anything I may have missed.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Whipped Body Balm

This moisturizer is for dry to extra dry skin which is something I struggle with. I love using this after drying off from the shower. I usually top it with a scented body lotion after but I find it super moisturizing. It is made with hyaluronic acid which is very moisturizing. Not sure if I should be but I also use a tiny amount on my face before applying my makeup. It definitely helps my makeup go on smoother.

Check out how I use coconut oil in my beauty routine! It is super moisturizing and great at removing makeup as well.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation

I have used this foundation since it came out. While my skin is not as oily anymore this is a great foundation for when it is. It helps your skin to stay matte all day. This foundation has a large variety of color options and has great buildable coverage. You may have a bit of trouble using it if you use a foundation brush as there is no pump just a hole at the top and it comes out quite quickly but using it with a sponge is great.

Milani Conceal And Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer

This is my go-to foundation if I am going out and want more of a full coverage look. This foundation has amazing buildable coverage. I have used Kat Von D’s foundation and I can definitely achieve the same coverage with a bit of work. It also does not look cakey at all. They also have 45 shades which is absolutely amazing as I always have trouble finding a foundation to match my skin tone. This is definitely not a matte foundation which is good if you are looking for a bit of a dewy finish.

L’Oréal Infallible Full Wear Concealer

I bought this concealer as it is supposed to be a dupe for Tarte Shape Tape which I really wanted to try. This concealer has amazing full coverage and a little bit goes a very long way especially for being a drugstore product. It is supposed to be less drying than the shape tape which is perfect for me as I like a bit of a dewier look these days. It comes in 10 shades and is all-day transfer-proof and waterproof.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Powder

This matte pressed powder is amazing. I don’t use a whole lot of powder but I definitely like to set under my eyes and my T-zone. This powder keeps me matte for a long time and comes in plenty of colors. I even use a darker shade for contouring which works great.

L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise

I had a small sample size of the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara and I really liked it. But my lashes are so stubborn that I hate to commit that much money to mascara. That’s when I discovered this amazing dupe, the L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara. I use the waterproof one and when I can get my lashes to cooperate and actually curl this looks amazing on them.

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Mascara

Although I have the most difficult lashes to deal with. They literally stick straight down this mascara works amazingly. I like this mascara more for the length and usually, I will layer it with a volumizing mascara. You can’t beat the price of this mascara and the Essence brand is Cruelty-Free 🤍

Covergirl Total Tease Mascara

This mascara is the first step in my current lash routine. This is one of the two mascara that will keep my extremely hard to curl lashes staying curled all day. I use the waterproof version. I absolutely love the brush on this. The brush is great because it is like a comb and it doesn’t get clumpy at all. It also has a little teasing comb ball on the end. That sounds kind of confusing so you will just have to buy it and see what I mean.

 L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara

This mascara is the second step in my lash routine. This is like an OG mascara. Everyone has probably used this once as it has been around forever. I love the slim brush as it is easy to build up coats instead of just getting a thick clumpy coat the first time around. It is very lengthening and using both this mascara and the one above gives me amazing lashes that look like classic lash extensions.

E.L.F Lock On Liner & Brow Cream

I love E.L.F products. Ever since they added a section in my local Walmart I have been buying lots of their products. I have decent full thick brows but I lost the tail ends to a waxing incident so I like to make them a little longer and make them a bit more defined. People have claimed that this product is a dupe to Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow. The only downside to this product is they only carry 4 shades as opposed to the 11 that Anastasia offers. I have seriously had this jar forever tho and it’s not even close to empty.

NYX Lip Lingerie

I love matte lips. I haven’t worn lip gloss in years. It’s hard to find a matte lip that is not too drying though. I find the biggest issue with wear a matte liquid lipstick is when you are eating or drinking. I have worn one that has just literally flaked off which was a scary sight when I noticed. These liquid lipstick dry down just enough to be matte but I find they just fade off as opposed to flaking off which looks way better if you don’t notice quickly like me. They have a great variety of shades. My go-to shade is exotic.

Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink

This is another one of my favorite matte liquid lipsticks. I usually go with this option if I can’t find the color I want in the NYX Lip Lingerie. I love the applicator as it is a pointed arrow shape and if you have ever used a liquid lipstick getting it where you want it is very important as if not you pretty much have to start all over and it dries pretty quickly.

Now, of course, I’m sure there are plenty of drugstore beauty products that I haven’t mentioned that are amazing. These are just some of the drugstore beauty products you need to try right now. I have tried a lot but definitely not all of them.
